The recently published book, Early Virginia Colonial Families by Sue Ward and Wanda Tucker, is very informative and  thoroughly researched. My own study of the Lee families in Anson County, NC was enriched by their skills in genealogy. They were very responsive to my many email questions and were always prompt in finding information for me. I am grateful for the many hours they spent researching the parentage of William Lee (“Rocky River Bill”). They provided thorough evidence to back up their findings. Thanks, Sue and Wanda!     ~H. I have corresponded extensively with Sue Ward and others in our family and have found the research and subsequent two books published by Sue and her other researchers to be the absolute best for consideration of known facts.  Someone had to bring order to the issues/questions that are still written about in this family.

It is in the best interests of those who have not bought the latest book from Sue Ward to do so and to see the documentation that she has gathered.  Sue is one of this family and her interest is “absolute” in getting the Edward Williams/Margaret Crittenden facts straight.  She can actually back up what she has put into print.  The second book does put more flesh on the bones of the Williams Family that shares Edward’s Y-DNA.     ~L.W., March 19, 2018

Thanks ladies for your informative research.

We hope this has bridged what seemed to be an impenetrable wall. Your conclusions seem logical and apt and we in the family appreciate your work. I have shared it with family and I’m sure those who have come up against this puzzle appreciate your clarity.  Keep up the good work.     ~R.P. , Beneficiary of the ______ Lee research, April 20, 2018
